Relief Security Officer

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols to detect signs of intrusion, damage, or suspicious behaviour.
• Monitor entrances and exits, check passes, and authorise visitors.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents following established procedures.
• Provide a welcoming, professional presence and assist visitors, staff, and contractors as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports for handover and compliance purposes.
• Observe and report any hazards, ensuring a safe environment at all times.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and observational ability.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a flexible approach to working hours.
• Willingness to work days, nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Valid SIA licence.
• UK driving licence.
• 5‑year checkable work or education history.
