About the role

Pearson is seeking a qualified teacher to work remotely as an examiner for the GCSE German (2024 Specification). You will mark candidate scripts using the ePEN platform and ensure that assessment standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities

Mark GCSE German scripts accurately and consistently according to the mark scheme.
Submit sample scripts to the Team Leader at designated times.
Adhere to marking milestones and deadlines.
Complete all required administrative tasks.
Participate in mandatory training between May and June, with marking taking place May‑July.

Required profile

At least one academic year of teaching experience in German within the last 8 years.
Qualified teacher status and a relevant degree.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
High level of subject knowledge to apply the mark scheme.

Required skills

Proficiency with the ePEN marking platform.
