Repairs Supervisor

About the role

Axis CLC is seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to lead a mobile team of trade operatives delivering responsive repairs, planned works and maintenance for social housing and property clients across the UK. This hands‑on leadership position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational abilities and a focus on safety and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise operatives and subcontractors delivering responsive repairs and maintenance.
• Ensure jobs are completed on time, to specification and within budget.
• Monitor productivity, performance and quality through regular site visits and reporting.
• Review completed works, coding accuracy and justification for variations.
• Liaise with planners, administrators and client teams to maintain smooth workflow.
• Guarantee compliance with Health & Safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Deliver toolbox talks, risk assessments and site inspections.
• Support resource planning and out‑of‑hours service coordination.
• Build professional relationships with residents, clients and colleagues.
• Mentor apprentices and develop team capability.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor or Senior Operative in social housing or property maintenance.
• Excellent technical knowledge across multiple trades.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS and compliance processes.
• Experience managing teams and monitoring performance metrics.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and CSCS card.
