About the role
The Resident Engagement Manager will lead a team of Resident Engagement Officers to deliver a high‑quality resident engagement function across social‑housing properties in Barking.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Resident Engagement Officers team.
- Ensure services meet the Regulator of Social Housing’s Transparency, Influence and Accountability Standard.
- Oversee programmes, campaigns, consultations and satisfaction‑measuring activities.
- Form and operate a Tenants’ Scrutiny Panel that reflects tenant diversity.
- Champion collaborative co‑production, giving tenants genuine influence over service design and performance.
- Produce annual engagement reports and develop service plans with monitoring frameworks.
- Lead engagement activities for all occupant categories, including leaseholders.
- Represent the service at regional forums, conferences and partnership events.
Required profile
- Proven experience leading and managing a resident engagement team.
- Familiarity with the Regulator of Social Housing standards.
- Experience delivering engagement programmes, campaigns and consultations.
- Ability to establish and run a Tenants’ Scrutiny Panel.
- Strong reporting and service‑planning capabilities.
- Comfort presenting at regional forums and partnership events.

- Temporary contract (contractor) with an hourly rate of £26.88 (PAYE).
