Residential Childcare Support Worker

About the role

BudWood Ltd is seeking caring individuals to join its residential childcare team in Bournemouth. As a Casual Residential Childcare Support Worker you will help young people living in a safe, home‑like environment rebuild confidence, develop life skills and work towards a brighter future.

Key responsibilities

• Support children and young people with daily routines such as meals, personal care and bedtime.
• Build trusting relationships and act as a positive adult role‑model.
• Encourage development of confidence, independence and practical life skills.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment at all times.

Required profile

• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS check (cost covered).
• Friendly, good listening and communication skills.
• Hold or be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health and Social Care or equivalent.

• Competitive hourly rate £12.79‑£14.50, dependent on qualifications and experience.
