Residential Conveyancer / Legal Executive

About the role

Our client, a multi‑office law firm with over 130 years’ heritage, is seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their Residential Conveyancing team in Witham. Working alongside the head of department, you will manage your own caseload from day one and help drive the development and expansion of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Generate fee income by handling residential conveyancing matters on behalf of clients.
• Advise and assist clients on legal issues related to residential property transactions.
• Create and manage correspondence and SOS files in line with firm standards.
• Supervise secretarial and support staff within the Property Department.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legal developments and fulfil CPD requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the firm and the wider legal community to ensure high‑quality service.
• Follow firm procedures for time recording and billing management.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a residential property environment.
• Qualified Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor or Legal Executive.
• Excellent communication skills, able to convey information clearly to all levels.
• Self‑motivated, organised and capable of prioritising workload effectively.
