Residential Property Lawyer

About the role

We are looking for a Residential Property Lawyer to manage a dynamic caseload of residential conveyancing matters, primarily lease‑hold sales and purchases. You will work within a forward‑thinking law firm that values quality, wellbeing and collaborative client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 60 residential conveyancing transactions from start to finish.
• Conduct pre‑contract enquiries, title investigations and advise on covenants, easements and other title issues.
• Prepare and review contracts, transfer deeds, certificates and related documentation.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, surveyors and other third parties to progress transactions to completion.
• Carry out anti‑money‑laundering checks and adhere to regulatory and firm risk procedures.
• Provide clear updates to clients throughout each transaction and ensure a high standard of client care.
• Support junior fee‑earners and contribute to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor, licensed conveyancer or extensive experience in residential conveyancing.
• Proven experience handling lease‑hold conveyancing matters.
• Good working knowledge of Land Registry processes and title documentation.
• Strong client‑care skills with the ability to communicate complex legal information clearly.
• Ability to manage a caseload, prioritise effectively and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a risk‑aware approach to work.
• Competent user of Microsoft Office and case‑management systems; willingness to learn new technology.
