Residential Support Worker – Bank (Wythenshawe)

About the role

We are seeking a flexible, bank‑staffed Residential Support Worker to join our team in Wythenshawe. The role involves supporting young people living in a residential setting, with initial training in Warrington. You will work rotating shifts covering 24‑hour, 15‑hour and night patterns.

Key responsibilities

• Provide a safe, supportive environment where young people feel heard and respected.
• Build genuine, positive relationships and act as a consistent role model.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as meals, routines, and household upkeep.
• Encourage independence, confidence and healthier decision‑making.
• Manage challenging situations calmly and confidently.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including social workers, CAMHS, and LAC nurses.

Required profile

• Calm under pressure and resilient.
• Straight‑talking, kind and non‑judgmental.
• Team‑player who contributes fully.
• Willingness to obtain a Level 3 qualification in Children’s Residential Care (or already hold it).
• Ability to complete an enhanced DBS check.
• Full UK driving licence is desirable.
