Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home

About the role

You will work in a children’s residential home, providing daily support and guidance to young people. The role offers a chance to make a tangible difference in a safe, structured environment while developing a long‑term career in residential care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist young people with daily routines, education and recreational activities.
• Build strong, positive relationships that foster trust and stability.
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and supportive home environment.
• Support care plans, routines and developmental goals.
• Contribute to shift coordination and perform domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Complete reports, records and other day‑to‑day household responsibilities.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential childcare or youth work is desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of safeguarding and care‑planning processes is advantageous.
• Willingness to undertake relevant childcare qualifications.
• Enhanced DBS check will be required.
