Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home

About the role

Our client, a high‑quality residential care provider in the London Borough of Greenwich, is seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join their children’s home team. You will help create a safe, nurturing environment where young people can develop confidence, independence and resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver person‑centred care in line with individual care plans, supporting emotional, social and practical needs.
• Safeguard children at all times and promote their welfare.
• Assist with personal care, medication (following training), meals and household tasks.
• Support education, health appointments, leisure activities and life‑skill development.
• Maintain accurate records, complete reports and contribute to care planning, risk assessments and handovers.
• Act as Key Worker for allocated children, building trusting relationships.
• Collaborate with families, social workers, schools and other professionals.
• Participate in supervision, team meetings and mandatory training.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence.
• Relevant Level 3 qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Strong communication, listening and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to follow safeguarding policies and organisational procedures.
