Retail Assistant Manager

About the role

American Golf is seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in our Bristol store. This role combines leadership, operational oversight and a passion for golf to create a welcoming environment for all customers.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in leading, motivating and developing the store team.
• Coach staff on sales techniques and ensure high standards of customer service.
• Monitor store performance data, analyse trends and implement actions to maximise sales.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, health and safety standards and visual merchandising guidelines.
• Stay informed about golf product trends and competitor activity to inform merchandising decisions.
• Participate in recruitment, training and performance reviews.

• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop a retail team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
