Retail Operations Manager

About the role

We are seeking a highly organised, detail‑obsessed Retail Operations Manager to drive world‑class store performance across our UK and US locations. You will build the systems, processes and tools that enable store teams to operate smoothly, eliminate friction and consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, document and continuously improve store operating procedures across 20 stores.
• Own the day‑to‑day operational rhythm, including communications, task management, openings/closings, compliance and health & safety.
• Act as the operational bridge between stores and HQ, coordinating with Brand, Product, Inventory, People and Finance.
• Lead stock and inventory operations: stock takes, cycle counts, transfers and shrinkage control.
• Coordinate visual merchandising roll‑outs, product launches and seasonal resets.
• Optimise stock availability and allocation in partnership with Product and Inventory teams.
• Apply commercial acumen to protect and improve store profitability (sales, margin, labour, cost).
• Manage retail systems (POS, scheduling, task and communications platforms) and champion improvements.
• Build labour scheduling models to match footfall while controlling payroll costs.
• Support end‑to‑end new store openings, from fit‑out to system and stock readiness.
• Provide operational reporting and analysis on sales, labour efficiency, OPEX and cost control.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail operations, preferably managing multiple stores.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to translate data into profit‑driving actions.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
