Retail Team Member – Bitterne Esso Express

About the role

Join a busy Tesco store at the Bitterne Esso Express and help deliver excellent service to shoppers every day. This role offers a mix of customer‑facing duties and behind‑the‑scenes tasks, providing a varied and engaging retail experience.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, understand their needs and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
• Operate across the store, including service counters, picking and replenishment areas.
• Handle product deliveries, ensure items are cared for and displayed correctly.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
• Follow health and safety training to work safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Be over 18 years of age.
• Passionate about delivering great customer service with a smile.
• Reliable and able to work the advertised availability windows.
• Willing to work flexible hours, with a minimum of 12‑16 guaranteed hours per week.

• Hourly rate starting at £13.28 (up to £14.55 for M25 locations).
• Minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week, with part‑time options down to 12 hours.
