Road Freight Operator – International Imports & Exports

About the role

We are recruiting an experienced Road Freight Operator to join a leading logistics provider in Leeds. The role focuses on managing day‑to‑day international road freight movements across Europe, handling both import and export shipments for a global client base.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange and oversee international road freight shipments, including groupage, part‑load and full‑load movements.
• Serve as the primary client contact, providing tracking updates and preparing transport quotes.
• Coordinate with European partners, hauliers and drivers to optimise routes and ensure on‑time delivery.
• Prepare and submit customs documentation and transit forms required for European road movements.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of proven experience in international road freight forwarding (import, export or multimodal).
• Strong knowledge of European road transport regulations and driver scheduling.
• Familiarity with post‑Brexit customs procedures for EU trade.
• Ability to work from the client’s Leeds office.
