Rural Surveyor / Land Agent – Infrastructure & Renewables

About the role

Join a fast‑growing Infrastructure & Renewables team in Morpeth as a Rural Surveyor / Land Agent. You will work on a varied portfolio of utility, infrastructure and renewable energy projects across the North of England, helping clients maximise the value of their land and property assets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional land and property advice to a wide range of clients.
• Deliver infrastructure, utilities and renewable energy projects to a high standard.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, occupiers, contractors and consultants.
• Lead negotiations and manage stakeholder expectations throughout project lifecycles.
• Support property and asset management, including long‑term improvement strategies.
• Manage capital and operational budgets and investment programmes.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across the North East.
• Mentor junior colleagues and trainees.
• Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with quality procedures.

Required profile

• MRICS or AssocRICS qualification preferred; candidates working towards qualification are also considered.
• Previous experience in rural surveying, land agency, infrastructure, utilities or renewables.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Commercially minded with a proactive approach to client service.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GIS platforms.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project (desirable).
