Salaried General Practitioner (Full/Part-time)

About the role

We are seeking both full‑time and part‑time General Practitioners to join our friendly team in Cockermouth, a thriving market town on the edge of the Lake District National Park. The role focuses on core family practice, delivering exceptional patient care and outcomes while contributing to the practice’s strategic development.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a patient caseload, addressing a wide range of health needs in a primary‑care setting.
• Provide face‑to‑face consultations, telephone consultations and home visits.
• Maintain the highest standards of clinical care for registered and temporary patients.
• Participate in training, research activities and support for care homes.
• Collaborate with a supportive team that values clinician wellbeing.

Required profile

• Qualified General Practitioner registered with the appropriate medical body.
• Commitment to delivering core family‑practice services and improving patient outcomes.
• Willingness to engage in practice development, CQC improvement initiatives and potential partnership opportunities.
• Flexibility to work full‑time or part‑time with adaptable working patterns.
