Sales Account Manager

About the role

We are seeking a driven, customer‑focused Sales Account Manager to join our busy, collaborative team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. Based in East Grinstead, you will manage and develop a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring high service levels and supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customer accounts.
• Manage daily account activity to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Understand and consistently meet customer requirements.
• Monitor and manage stock commitments, ensuring timely uptake.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver high‑standard service.
• Participate in regular sales meetings and customer business reviews.
• Work closely with supply‑chain teams to review forecasts and support delivery targets.
• Take ownership of account performance and identify growth opportunities.
• Escalate issues promptly and work towards agreed targets and performance measures.

Required profile

• Motivated and detail‑oriented individual with a passion for excellent customer service.
• Previous experience in sales, account management, or a customer‑focused role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Problem‑solving capability and good numeracy and literacy.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with CRM or ERP systems (desirable).
