Sales Administrator

About the role

Our client, a well‑established manufacturing business in Stockport, is looking for a detail‑oriented Sales Administrator to join their busy office team. The role combines sales support, order processing and customer service, ensuring that quotes, orders and deliveries are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email in a professional manner.
• Process sales orders from initial enquiry through to completion.
• Prepare and issue customer quotations.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams regarding orders, pricing, deliveries and general queries.
• Manage delivery schedules and keep customers updated.
• Maintain accurate customer, order and pricing data in internal systems.
• Carry out data entry and general administrative duties.
• Support the wider office and sales team with day‑to‑day administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales administration, order processing or customer service.
• Strong communication skills with a confident telephone manner.
• Excellent organisational ability and attention to detail.
• Positive, reliable and team‑focused attitude.
• Minimum 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
