Sales Administrator – Support the Sales Team

About the role

We are recruiting a Sales Administrator to provide essential administrative support to a busy sales function. The role involves processing orders, coordinating deliveries and liaising with customers, suppliers and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process customer sales orders accurately and efficiently.
• Schedule deliveries and advise customers and account managers of expected dates.
• Coordinate product branding with printers, warehouse and haulage providers.
• Prepare quotations for spare parts and process parts orders.
• Handle incoming telephone calls and respond to customer enquiries.
• Raise purchase orders with suppliers and the factory, and book stock against them.
• Liaise with the warehouse and hauliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Maintain and update customer spreadsheets and records.
• Monitor customer‑owned stock and arrange storage charges where applicable.
• Provide cover for other Sales Administrators during leave periods.
• Assist the Office Manager with general administrative duties and support the Service department with invoicing.

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales administration, customer service or general administration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities with high accuracy.
• Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proactive, flexible and positive approach to work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Experience with SAP (advantageous but not essential).
