Sales Assistant – Retail Tile Specialist

About the role

Join Topps Tiles as a Sales Assistant, helping customers visualise their home improvement projects and find the perfect tiles. You will work in a supportive, small team environment, using a consultative approach to guide shoppers from inspiration to purchase.

Key responsibilities

• Build long‑standing relationships with trade and retail customers through a consultative sales approach.
• Ask the right questions to understand customer needs and recommend the best products.
• Use creativity to inspire customers with colour, style, layout and design ideas.
• Drive sales by applying expert product knowledge and confidently closing opportunities.
• Maintain a tidy store environment and assist with stock handling, including lifting heavy boxes.

Required profile

• Outgoing, friendly and energetic personality.
• Willingness to learn about tiles and retail sales – no prior experience required.
• Ability to work 15 hours per week, including occasional weekends.
• Physical capability to lift and move stock.
