About the role

The Sales Director will lead and drive sales strategies within the retail sector, focusing on the Midlands and South regions. Based in Brixton, the role requires a results‑driven leader with strong market insight.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive growth in industrial, engineering and manufacturing markets.
• Lead and manage a sales team of 70+ professionals, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Set sales targets, monitor performance and ensure objectives are met or exceeded.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver seamless customer experiences.
• Prepare and present regular sales reports to senior leadership.
• Oversee the development of sales training programmes to enhance team performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the retail industry.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to inspire and lead a high‑performing sales team.
• Strategic thinking with a focus on achieving measurable results.
• Experience analysing sales data and market trends.
• Knowledge of the Brixton market is advantageous.
