Sales Engineer – Mechanical & Physics (Cryogenics)

About the role

We are seeking a Sales Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering or Physics background to join a leading designer and manufacturer of cryogenic temperature‑control equipment. You will become the technical point of contact for customers, translating their needs into tailored solutions and supporting them from pre‑sale through post‑sale.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to technical customer enquiries and design customised solutions.
• Prepare accurate quotations and costings for products and services.
• Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase features and benefits.
• Support customers on technical and procurement matters from initial contact to after‑sales service.
• Occasionally visit customer sites to assess requirements and oversee solution delivery.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Physics (graduate level).
• Strong interest in technical sales within a niche cryogenics market.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to understand client needs.
• Willingness to work Monday‑Thursday 8:00‑16:30 and Friday 8:30‑13:00 on‑site in Oxford.
