Sales Engineer – Water Treatment (EPC)

About the role

We are looking for a technical sales professional to drive new business across the EPC market for water‑treatment solutions. The role is home‑based, covering the UK and Ireland, and involves developing relationships with consultants, contractors and end‑users to win major engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities with EPC contractors.
• Engage customers early in the project lifecycle to influence specifications.
• Manage the sales process from enquiry through quotation, negotiation and award.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues to create compliant, commercially viable solutions.
• Review technical specifications and drawings to ensure proposed systems meet requirements.
• Prepare quotations, tenders and technical proposals.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and contribute to business growth.

Required profile

• Motivated technical sales professional with experience selling into the EPC market.
• Proven ability to manage consultative sales cycles and long project lifecycles.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with consultants, contractors and end‑users.
• Ability to work autonomously while supported by a technical team.

Required skills

• Water‑treatment system knowledge.
• Interpretation of technical specifications and engineering drawings.
• Preparation of technical proposals and tenders.

• Basic salary up to £65,000 per year.
