SAP Payroll & Time Advisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Payroll & Time Advisor to join a leading aerospace organisation in Broughton. The role involves delivering accurate payroll and time‑management services while providing high‑quality support to employees across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll transactions such as detached duty, standby, on‑call payments, one‑time payments, memberships, loans, PASS scheme, subsistence claims, P45s, new starter declarations, settlement agreements and court orders.
• Manage time‑related activities including overtime submissions, shift pattern changes, sickness records, phased return‑to‑work arrangements, time savings accounts and salary offset.
• Provide HR administration support – employment references, solicitor correspondence, first‑line flexible benefits queries, e‑pay system administration, mail‑merge communications and liaison with external e‑payslip provider.
• Deliver customer‑focused support via telephone and ticketing systems, assisting internal stakeholders with payroll and HR queries and meeting service‑level agreements.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a payroll environment.
• Strong payroll data processing and query handling abilities.
• Knowledge of PAYE, SSP, SMP, SPP, pensions, student loans and other payroll deductions.
• Experience with computerized payroll systems, preferably SAP.
• Background working in a busy administrative or office setting.

What we offer

• 6‑month fixed‑term contract with potential extension.
• Hybrid working – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.
• 35 hours per week (4.5‑day week).
• Pay rate £17.24 per hour (PAYE) or £23.07 per hour (Umbrella).
• BPSS security clearance required.
