School Administrator – Alternative Provision (Accrington)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive School Administrator for an Alternative Provision setting in Accrington. The role supports daily operations, combining reception duties with data, HR, and financial administration on a four‑day, term‑time schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate student records, attendance and data entry using SIMS.
• Process invoices, purchase orders and perform basic financial tracking.
• Assist with staff records, vetting checks and other HR paperwork.
• Answer phones, greet visitors, manage post and provide general office support to the leadership team.

Required profile

• Prior experience with SIMS is highly desirable.
• Comfortable handling invoices and basic finance administration.
• Calm, positive demeanour with resilience to thrive in a busy, non‑traditional school environment.
• Excellent time‑management and multitasking abilities.
