School Administrator and Receptionist

About the role
The Receptionist & School Administrator is a key member of the school’s administrative team, delivering a professional front‑of‑house service while supporting daily operations. You will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, visitors and external agencies, ensuring a welcoming and efficient reception experience.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for visitors, parents, pupils and contractors, providing a warm and professional reception service.
- Answer and direct telephone calls, emails and general enquiries; manage visitor sign‑in and safeguarding procedures.
- Handle incoming post and deliveries, maintain a tidy reception area and prepare meeting rooms as required.
- Provide high‑quality administrative support to the Headteacher and senior leadership team, including drafting correspondence, taking minutes and maintaining confidential records.
- Support school projects, recruitment administration, first‑aid supplies and the organisation of events such as parents’ evenings and open mornings.
- Maintain accurate pupil, staff and attendance records using the Arbor information system and assist with OpenApply admissions processes.

- Organised, proactive and personable with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Committed to delivering exceptional service and supporting the smooth running of the school.
- Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when dealing with pupils, parents and external agencies.
