About the role

Whitelands Academy is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher to deliver Science and Physical Education to secondary students. The position involves teaching Science across relevant key stages and PE to female students, including supervision of female changing rooms.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons for key stages 7‑9.
• Teach Physical Education to female pupils, ensuring safety and inclusivity.
• Supervise female changing rooms and manage related pastoral duties.
• Promote academic achievement and physical wellbeing for all students.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Passionate about both academic and physical education.
• Committed to professional development and collaborative school improvement.
• Female applicant – lawful occupational requirement under Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
