Seasonal Housekeeping Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Seasonal Housekeeping Assistant to carry out end‑of‑tenancy deep cleans of studio apartments and communal areas at Vita Student’s House of Social in Manchester. The role ensures vacant accommodation meets premium standards before new residents move in.

Key responsibilities

• Deep‑clean vacant studio apartments, including kitchens, bathrooms, and all surfaces.
• Degrease hobs, extractor fans, splashbacks and clean ovens, microwaves and other appliances.
• Sanitise cupboards, drawers, fridges, freezers and descale sinks and taps.
• Scrub, descale and disinfect showers, toilets, sinks, tiles and fixtures in communal bathrooms and en‑suites.
• Wipe down doors, handles, frames, light switches, sockets and internal windows.
• Vacuum, steam‑clean and mop carpeted and hard floor surfaces; dust and polish furniture.
• Maintain reception, corridors, gym, cinema, study hubs and other shared spaces, including handrails and lift panels.
• Conduct final quality checks, take before‑and‑after photos and report any maintenance or health‑and‑safety issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in housekeeping or professional cleaning.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and quality standards.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify maintenance issues.

Required skills

• Operating vacuum cleaners, steam cleaners and descaling equipment.

What we offer

• Hourly rate £13.45 (plus holiday pay, total £15.07 per hour).
• Fixed‑term contract until 2 October 2026.
• 20 hours per week with flexible working days between 9 am – 6 pm.
