Secondary General Cover Teacher

About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic secondary cover teachers to join schools in East Sussex on a full‑time, temporary basis. This role offers the chance to deliver high‑quality lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 while supporting student progress.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons that meet the UK national curriculum.
- Assess, record and report on student development, progress and attainment.
- Maintain discipline through effective classroom management.
- Contribute to curriculum development and participate in school activities.
- Provide feedback to parents and guardians during meetings and evenings.
- Mentor students, offering guidance on academic and personal development.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Right to work in the UK.
- A degree in a relevant subject area.
- Experience teaching at secondary level.
- Strong knowledge of the UK national curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
