Secondary Teacher of IT and Business

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position starts in September and offers a passionate educator the chance to design and deliver a knowledge‑rich curriculum in IT and Business for Key Stages 3 and 4. You will equip students with digital literacy and commercial awareness, preparing them for further education or employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, teach and assess IT and Business lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Maintain the school’s high expectations for behaviour through consistent application of established routines.
• Analyse student performance data to identify gaps and inform targeted interventions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive, knowledge‑rich learning experience.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives that promote trust, fairness and high academic standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS or equivalent UK teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
• Eligibility to work full‑time in the UK.
• Strong ability to implement strict behavioural systems consistently.
• Deep knowledge of both business concepts and digital/IT applications.
• Experience breaking down complex technical or economic topics into clear lessons.
• Competence in using performance data to drive improvement.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced, highly structured school day.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with diverse student groups.
