Security Officer (SIA Licensed) – Westhoughton

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled SIA Licensed Security Officer to join our team in Westhoughton, Bolton. You will help create a safe environment for staff and visitors by managing access control, conducting patrols and responding to emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain overall site surveillance and conduct regular patrols.
• Brief, sign‑in and sign‑out all visitors and contractors.
• Record deliveries and process related paperwork.
• Set and unset alarm systems for out‑of‑hours security where required.
• Comply with waste‑management procedures and complete daily logs, shift handovers and incident reports.
• Follow Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments and advise the Duty Manager on improvements.
• Maintain personal training records via the Corps Colleague Portal.

Required profile

• Excellent communication and strong customer focus.
• Valid SIA Front‑Line License (essential).
• SC and Bank of England clearance plus 5‑year UK residence requirement.
• Full UK Driving Licence (desirable).
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and multitask.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Willingness to achieve BS7858 vetting standards.
