Security Platform Engineer

About the role

SiXworks is looking for a Security Platform Engineer to design, build and deliver secure digital solutions for Defence and National Security missions. You will work in highly secure environments alongside engineers, architects and delivery specialists to enable faster, safer decision‑making for critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy and maintain secure infrastructure within Kubernetes clusters.
• Administer Splunk for log aggregation, monitoring, alerting and threat detection.
• Operate Nessus for vulnerability scanning, reporting and remediation tracking.
• Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines and cloud‑native workflows.
• Automate security processes using scripting or infrastructure‑as‑code approaches.
• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to embed security best practices.
• Maintain artefacts as code and keep documentation for systems, processes and configurations.
