About the role
The school is a maintained community institution serving children aged 4‑19 with a wide range of learning needs, including moderate to profound disabilities and many on the autism spectrum. They are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join both primary and secondary phases across two nearby sites.
Key responsibilities
- Follow the Learning and Teaching Policy and all school procedures.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting the school’s vision and ethos.
- Create a welcoming, stimulating learning environment for SEN pupils.
- Collaborate closely with the key‑stage team and class team, sharing best practice.
- Report to and support the Key Stage Leader in delivering inclusive education.
Required profile
- Previous experience teaching students with special educational needs.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / PGCE or equivalent qualification.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Proven track record of successful teaching outcomes.
