SEN Teacher & Teaching Assistant – Part‑time Supply Roles

About the role
Mana Education is recruiting qualified SEN Teachers and SEN Teaching Assistants for supply, long‑term and permanent placements across schools in Bourne and the surrounding East Midlands. You will work in special schools, alternative provision settings or mainstream schools with dedicated SEN units, providing targeted support to pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons or support sessions for pupils with SEND, including autism, SEMH, learning difficulties and complex sensory needs.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor progress against targets.
- Collaborate with class teachers, senior staff and external specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to pupil welfare.
- Maintain accurate records, behaviour logs and assessment data.
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive classroom environment, applying strong behaviour management techniques.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK experience in SEN settings.
- Demonstrated experience supporting pupils with a variety of SEND categories (e.g., ASD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD, MLD, SLCN, ADHD).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
Required skills
- Behaviour management strategies.
- Knowledge of SEN legislation and best‑practice frameworks.
- Ability to adapt curriculum and resources for diverse learning needs.
What we offer
- Daily rates of £100‑£261 depending on role and experience.
- Flexible start dates – immediate, Easter, September or ongoing.
- Variety of contract types: daily supply, short‑term, long‑term, maternity cover and permanent positions.
