About the role
We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a vibrant East London school. You will work closely with teachers and SENCOs to deliver inclusive learning experiences that promote academic, social, and emotional growth.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support to pupils with SEN.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Promote a safe, positive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Offer personal care assistance when required.
- Monitor pupil progress and give feedback to teaching staff and SENCOs.
Required profile
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties).
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to obtain or hold an enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or SEN training are desirable.
