About the role
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a partnership school in Cheltenham from September 2026. This full‑time position supports pupils with special educational needs in early years and primary settings, delivering engaging lessons and classroom assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver tailored lessons and provide one‑to‑one or small‑group support for SEN pupils.
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom management and preparation.
- Adapt quickly to different school environments across primary and secondary settings.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and implement individualized plans.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) – or experienced Teaching Assistant.
- Flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude.
- Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
- Genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
Required skills
- Knowledge of EYFS and SEN curriculum requirements.
- Ability to adapt teaching materials for diverse learners.
