SEN Teaching Assistant – Full‑time, £93/day (Ashford)

About the role

We are seeking compassionate Teaching Assistants to support children with special educational needs in schools across Ashford and surrounding areas. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, and offers a daily rate of £93.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to students with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Build positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and personal growth.
• Support students in managing behaviour and understanding its impact.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents and external agencies to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Facilitate delivery of highly personalised programmes addressing individual needs.

Required profile

• Compassionate, adaptable and genuinely interested in supporting young people.
• Previous experience in education, care or working with students with additional needs.
• Willingness to provide personal care where required.
• Full right to work in the UK and an enhanced child‑only DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Strong communication skills, patience, empathy and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Ability to act as a positive role model in the classroom.

• Full‑time schedule: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Travel between Ashford and Canterbury as needed.
• Reimbursement of DBS fee (£62) after 20 days of work.
