SEN Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start in Wirral

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools in Wirral. The role involves supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and behavioural challenges, helping them access learning and develop essential skills.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small‑group support to pupils with SEN.
• Assist teachers in adapting lessons and materials to meet individual needs.
• Help pupils engage with learning activities and manage classroom behaviour.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to monitor progress and share observations.

Required profile

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or similar role in an educational setting.
• Background working with children with special educational needs, autism or behavioural issues.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Interest in a long‑term position within SEN schools.
