About the role
Join a welcoming Primary SEN school in Lewisham as a Teaching Assistant, supporting children with complex learning needs. You will work closely with teachers and therapists to create a nurturing, structured environment where every pupil can thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering personalised lessons for pupils with autism, communication challenges, and sensory or emotional needs.
- Support one‑to‑one and small‑group activities, reinforcing therapeutic strategies.
- Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Required profile
- Passionate about supporting children with additional needs.
- Empathetic, patient and adaptable.
- Willing to commute to Lewisham or live locally.
- Motivated to develop professionally within a specialist setting.
Required skills
- Basic understanding of SEN principles (preferred but not mandatory).
