SEN Teaching Assistant (Psychology Graduate) – Witney

About the role

Join an outstanding co‑educational special school in Witney as a Teaching Assistant supporting children aged 5‑16 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. This full‑time, long‑term position is ideal for recent psychology graduates who want to gain hands‑on experience in a therapeutic educational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering the curriculum and therapeutic activities.
• Support pupils with autism, ADHD, complex learning needs and communication difficulties.
• Work alongside educational and occupational psychologists, counsellors and speech‑language therapists.
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive and wellbeing‑focused classroom.
• Participate in extra‑curricular activities and personalised learning plans.

Required profile

• Recent graduate with a degree in Psychology or a related field.
• Passionate about supporting children with SEMH, autism or ADHD.
• Resilient, reliable and able to work Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:00 pm.
• Willingness to start as soon as possible (or September 2026).
