SEN Teaching Assistant – Support Secondary Students

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to support secondary mainstream and specialist schools across Manchester. The role offers both short‑term supply work and longer placements, ideal for recent graduates or those gaining experience before teacher training.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and providing one‑to‑one support for pupils with special educational needs.
• Implement and uphold school behaviour policies to create a safe learning environment.
• Help pupils achieve academic and personal development goals.
• Collaborate with senior staff to adapt resources and strategies for individual learners.

Required profile

• Recent UK graduate with a bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related subject.
• Demonstrated experience working with SEN students.
• Resilient, adaptable and eager to support learners.
• Strong communication skills and willingness to work in specialist settings.
