SEND Learning Support Tutor – Somerset

About the role

Quantum Scholars is expanding its Somerset team to provide one‑to‑one learning support for vulnerable young people. You will deliver personalised tuition and mentoring to primary and secondary learners with SEND, SEMH, autism, ADHD, anxiety, trauma, medical or behavioural challenges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide face‑to‑face tuition in the learner’s home or a suitable community setting, with occasional online sessions.
• Match learners with appropriate age groups and support types based on your strengths.
• Maintain flexible availability, ranging from a few hours per week to near‑full‑time work.
• Travel across Somerset to reach assigned learners.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate progress to families and schools.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Calm, patient and adaptable approach.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Driving licence and access to a vehicle is highly advantageous.
