Senior Account Handler - Health & Care Insurance

About the role

Howden, a global insurance group, is looking for a Senior Account Handler within its Health & Care Team in Bristol. The role supports the team in delivering a comprehensive service in the administration of new business, renewals and mid-term changes, so that customers receive suitable cover and pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor renewals and new business activity regularly to help plan and resource work effectively.
• Supervise the prompt and accurate production of documentation that meets clients' needs.
• Respond to market and third-party queries and produce high-quality market documentation.
• Organise your own work so that personal and team objectives are achieved.
• Work closely with the Account Executive to manage and service the book throughout the year, with timely follow-up and proactive support.
• Maintain client files and credit control, liaising with support technicians and IBA as needed.

Required profile

• Ideally experience in Health & Care insurance; strong candidates from other insurance backgrounds will also be considered.
• Customer-focused, able to work independently and flexibly to meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical and approachable, keen to build sustainable relationships with team and clients.
• Willing to learn and teach junior team members.
• ACII status is desirable but not required; LLMIT is desirable where relevant.
