Senior Accountant – Client Portfolio Manager

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to act as a Client Portfolio Manager for a growing accountancy practice. You will be the primary contact for a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed businesses, delivering accounting, tax and advisory services.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
- Prepare and review statutory accounts, corporation tax and self‑assessment tax returns.
- Provide accounting, tax and business advice to clients.
- Liaise with HMRC and Companies House to ensure compliance.
- Review work of junior team members, offering support and mentoring.
- Identify advisory and tax planning opportunities and manage deadlines.
Required profile
- ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Minimum 3 years recent UK accountancy practice experience.
- Proven portfolio management experience.
- Strong knowledge of statutory accounts, corporation tax and self‑assessment returns.
- Experience reviewing junior staff work.
