Senior Accountant – Up to £45,000 + Benefits

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing independent practice in South Manchester. You will manage a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, providing trusted advice and delivering high‑quality financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of clients from onboarding through to year‑end, acting as the primary adviser.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts across multiple industries.
• Produce management accounts and deliver insightful financial analysis.
• Complete corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns for clients.
• Mentor and support junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to add value through proactive, non‑compliance advice.

Required profile

• Experience working within an accountancy practice and managing your own client portfolio.
• ACA, ACCA or equivalent experience – qualifications are welcomed but ability and attitude are paramount.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts and tax.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Passion for helping businesses succeed.
