Senior Accounts Manager – Client Portfolio & Team Leadership

About the role

We are a long‑standing, highly reputable local accountancy practice seeking a Senior Accounts Manager. You will own a varied client portfolio, influence team direction and work directly with the partner to shape service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a broad accounts‑focused portfolio, including tax compliance work.
• Hold client meetings, building relationships that extend beyond the numbers.
• Mentor and manage a small team, developing their technical capabilities.
• Plan and oversee work‑in‑progress across your portfolio.
• Identify business‑development opportunities within existing client relationships.

Required profile

• Solid experience managing a mixed accounts and tax portfolio within an accountancy practice.
• Confidence leading client meetings and quickly building trust.
• Proven people‑management skills, whether overseeing one junior or a small team.
• A relevant accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent).
