Senior Analytics Engineer

About the role

Perk is looking for a Senior Analytics Engineer to bridge data engineering and analytics, turning raw data into reliable, consumable datasets and visualisations for business users. You will work on a modern cloud data stack, ensuring data quality, performance and usability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain ELT pipelines using dbt to transform raw data in Snowflake into clean, ready‑to‑use models.
• Implement best‑practice data modelling, CI/CD, testing and lineage to optimise performance and accuracy.
• Write comprehensive data quality checks, tests and monitoring scripts, and document all transformations.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts and engineers to understand reporting needs and optimise data models.
• Tune SQL queries and data models to reduce latency and improve warehouse performance.
• Champion modern data‑stack tools (Git, CI/CD) and build scalable Looker visualisations.

Required profile

• Multiple years of experience in a data‑focused role such as Analytics Engineer, Data Analyst or BI Developer.
• Expert‑level SQL skills and hands‑on experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift) and data modelling concepts.
• Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration.
• Familiarity with BI/visualisation tools, especially Looker.
