Senior Area Facilities Manager

About the role

Fora is seeking a Senior Area Facilities Manager to lead the performance, sustainability and resilience of its growing portfolio of workspaces across the UK. Reporting to the Technical Services Lead, you will provide technical expertise, support a team of Area Facilities Managers and act as the escalation point for complex building issues.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Technical Services Lead to deliver high‑quality facilities management across multiple sites.
• Manage, coach and develop Area Facilities Managers, ensuring consistent standards and best practice.
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance programmes and monitor contractor performance.
• Lead energy‑management initiatives to improve efficiency and meet sustainability targets.
• Manage capital‑expenditure projects from planning through to delivery.
• Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews to meet legal and company standards.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to continuously improve service delivery.
• Identify process improvements, risk reductions and enhancements to the member experience.

Required profile

• Proven facilities management experience, preferably within a multi‑site environment.
• Strong relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a geographically dispersed team.
• Commitment to continuous improvement, sustainability and safety.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of building services and statutory compliance.
• Experience with energy management and carbon‑reduction initiatives.
• Project management of capital‑expenditure works.
• Competence in conducting audits and inspections.
