Senior Associate / Legal Director

About the role

Birketts LLP is seeking a Senior Associate / Legal Director to join its award‑winning Agriculture team within the Private Client division. The role is based in Cambridge and focuses on providing specialist legal advice to farmers, landowners and agri‑businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate contracts, deeds, advice notes and correspondence tailored to client needs.
• Deliver high‑quality, professional advice to ensure client requirements are met efficiently.
• Maintain and grow client relationships, contributing to the firm’s strategic direction.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior lawyers, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Represent the firm at networking events, conferences and other business development activities.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with senior‑level experience in agricultural and private client law.
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and client relationships.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
