Senior Associate, Liquidity Management

About the role

Checkout.com is looking for a driven, self-motivated Senior Associate with experience in Liquidity Management to join its Treasury team in London. The role supports the buildout and deepening of liquidity risk management capabilities globally and regionally, as the company scales in volume, geography, payment methods, currencies and products. You will identify and quantify liquidity risks and help design and implement a liquidity and funding management framework.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and manage the legal entities and regional liquidity positions on a day-to-day basis
• Understand the business model and payment flows to identify liquidity risks
• Build basic models, forecast and run liquidity management strategies, procedures and controls
• Help design early warning and key risk indicators
• Run liquidity management and hedging strategies, including intra-group funding and liquid assets
• Document policies and procedures and take part in new product and expansion initiatives
• Contribute to liquidity and funding frameworks and to treasury and regulatory initiatives

Required profile

• 1-5 years of treasury experience
• Understanding of liquidity management strategies and liquidity risk management frameworks
• Ability to work with commercial, product and client stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
• Proactive, organised and able to work independently
• Experience of working through change and implementing new processes is preferable

Required skills

• Quantitative and analytical skills, including basic Excel modelling
• Strong communication and cross-functional relationship building
• Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as banking or EMI/PI regulations is an advantage
